Indian walking fire explication:

This celebration is from far, the most fascinating than we ever saw in our life. Once a year, the peoples go to the temple of the village and celebrate the fire walking ceremony. People who wish to participate must get ready seriously and prepare is self one week in advance. These peoples participate to this celebration in the goal to realize a wish. For example, a person could walk on the fire in exchange; the god helps his mother to feel better because she is sick. They demonstrate their faith by self-mutilation and control. To prepare themselves to the big ceremony, people must follow a very strict procedure during 1 week. Those procedures purify their body. They must be vegetarian, sleep without their wife and on the ground with a white sheet, go to the temple every evening, eating in a new plate and do not share it with anyone. The day of the ceremony, a several hundreds peoples are present and they make some offering to the god (milk, fruits...). It is at this moment that some peoples get self mutilation with bells and pierce their mouth with a pole of metal of 5 feet. At the same time, some musicians play Indian music to stimulate the crowd and bring peoples in trance. Some peoples succeed in entering in trance by this music, while reciting various mantras. Every thing happening at the same time!!! According to them, when they become in trance, the god take possession of they body. At this time, they are supposed to feel lot of pain. We can easily see their muscles contracting. After that, they need someone to guide them to pacify their pain. When they received help, the pain disperses itself and they can enjoy the trance. When people wish to be mutilated with the long steel stick, they have to be in trance. Apparently, they don’t feel the pain of the piercing and there is no blood when they pass thru the skin. For the ceremony, some peoples will not get the permission to walk on the fire cause the priest decides then they are not ready for it. According to him, if they go without is permission, they going to burn their feet. To know that, he only put is hand on his head and he can fell the energy. Peoples who don’t wish to walk on the fire, can also just walk around the fire and give milk to the god. Several people as don't wish to walk on fire at all, but they can give in offering to the god of milk. At the end of the ceremony, everyone follow the priest and goes dancing inside the Hindu temple. At this time, the crowd is hysteric; some in trance and everyone dance on the Indian music. Everyone should see that, it’s absolutely fascinating!!!!
