December 26, 200., a tsunami hit the whole west coast of Thailand and his islands. Several of us, already forgot this unhappy history, but in the heart of the Thai and the other nationalities of the world touched, this wave will remain marked forever in their memories.

When I arrived to Ko Phi Phi, I have been upset to be at the scene the incident and to realize that several hundreds peoples lost there life. I have been touched to speak with Kit, the owner of our hotel who knew how to sensitize us to the fact that everybody lost everything in this wave and that they have to restart to zero. According to this fact, I live a lot of uncomfort when I remember all those peoples in Quebec who came back and that passed to the television because they were traumatized by the experiences and because we wanted to know. These people in Quebec, they had a lot of psychological support upon their return and except a few material objects, the majority didn't lose anything. The Thai them, they never had any help for nothing. After this wave, they have to stand up and rebuild to survive. To survive.. because they will always haunted by the wave and most of them have lost one or several lovers peoples. These peoples don't have nothing anymore and if they want to survive, they must rebuild and borrow money in the bank to be able to succeed and that, at the same place because they know nothing else.

It is after think for a long time about how we could help them, that I decided to use our media, the web site, as an advertisement for their enterprises. I decided to help Kit then (Guesthouse) and Samee (restorant) in order to make them a little free publicity.

1. Lux guesthouse:

is the best report quality price of the island. It is situated to 2-3 minutes of walk of the bars and restaurants and offer tranquility. The hotel is situated slightly in height in a mountain, what offers, freshness and a beautiful view (rare in Ko Phi Phi). The rooms are very big and clean.

2. Restorant in Samee

We were indeed happy to meet Samee, he radiates a superb energy. His history deserves to be told. After the Tsunami, Samee has been stuck under more of 2 meters of remnant. In his head, he was condemned to lose his life there. It is whereas two tourists passed and heard it under the remnants. They were able then to take him out. To this moment, Samee was wounded seriously and he should go more than 4 months to the hospital. It is after several months, that he redoes the meeting of his saviors and that these last realize that Samee lost everything and that he must work at a low salary to survive. One of the two boys, Peter, gifted him a sum of 20 000 bath then in order to allow him to retort itself an enterprise. With this money, he was able to construct that restore. This place is worth to try; he possesses an energy that we never recovered elsewhere to any place on the island. He is thankful of life and he transmits it to you every time you are going to eat to sound restore. His kitchen is absolutely delicious, varied and it is not too expensive (70 bath including the main dish and a bowl of rice). Ask for Samee or Mr. Soda. His restaurant is located no far from the jetty in the section of lest expensive restaurant.
